Cheltenham chiropractor David Hover treats a wide range of aches, joint problems and minor sports injuries: from work-related complaints to back and neck pain, alongside shoulders, hips, knees and more.

With over ten years in practice, David takes the time to understand the problem: how it started, how it relates to you, what makes it better or worse. He'll then thoroughly explain what he has found and what can be done about it.

David is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

Treatments Offered

David is trained in a wide variety of manual therapy techniques, including spinal manipulation, joint mobilisation, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, dry needling, kinesiology taping, PIR/PNF (MET) and massage.

Experienced in working with active patients, he has a particular interest in weight training and running, understanding the loads involved and what it takes to get back to training. Alongside that, he sees plenty of everyday complaints: general back pain, mechanical neck pain, joint pain, muscle spasm and generalised aches and pains, including the kind that build up from desk work, driving or physically demanding jobs. Rehabilitation exercise advice is available where appropriate.

Your first visit begins with a thorough consultation where David will discuss your history with you, including a physical examination and initial treatment in the majority of cases. From there, he'll put together an evidence-based plan of management built around your goals: whether that's getting back to training, managing a long-standing problem or simply getting through the working day more comfortably. MRI scan and X-ray referrals can be provided where indicated. Every appointment is carefully tailored to your needs, and your personal preferences, privacy and dignity are always paramount.
